In 1952, Count Ilias Toptani quite simply revolutionised English Jumping with the introduction of the Count Toptani Mk.I. In 1972, the Count Toptani Mk II evolved. Based on the original patented tree, the Mk II was fined tuned, soft suede knee pads and two raw hide billet straps added for ultimate feel and control.

The Count Toptani Mk III, uses the same tree, design and appearance as the MkII, but with felt and foam panels.

The Count Toptani Mk. V, uses the same tree, design and appearance as the MkII, but with a square cantle. The flaps are shaped to cover the knee rolls and finished in soft hide or suede.

The Count Toptani has been used by Royalty, International Showjumpers, Eventers, and International Champions in the Olympic Games since 1956.
